ART 2010

Art is a great love of ours and with TRAILERPARK we set the frames for a festival, where the art program is as vibrant and significant as the music. In this spirit, TRAILERPARK 2010 has a rather extraordinary artist line-up, and in practice we cover everything in and between the categories of installations, visuals, posters, performances to the actual decoration of the trailers and festival space. We envision a complete TRAILERPARK universe, that is spacious enough to contain many diverse and sharp expressions, but still speaks in to the same flow of imagination. Aesthetically we aim for a festival where the play between genres will give birth to interesting new fusions of art, music and visuality.

In our artist collaboration TRAILERPARK represent a good mixture of talented newcomers and more established forces. We think of this as an essential key to ignite those processes, that will in the end lead to something truly fresh and cutting edge. For this purpose we will team up with artists and art collectives once again – previous years the artist line-up have included Anika Lori, Maria Torp, Mette Geisler, Le Fix, Shft, Wonderland, Jakob Tolstrup, Ultra Grøn, Basco 5, Jody Barton, Hvass & Hannibal, Stine Tranekjær, Anne Werner and the list goes on. With a mixed constellation of Copenhagens finest and international friends we aim for an expression that is bright, carnevalistic, colourful and a bit crazy, at the same time as it has something dark, edgy, playful and humorous to it. The general feel will be something like one big innovative playground. A place where creative energy will mobilise to break down the barriers between established and underground, Danish and Nordic, and in the end between artist and the audience.
