TP Allstars – Starry-eyed Surprise
My oh my. What a way to close the outdoor scene of this years Festival. Trailerpark had intrigued everyone by announcing a secret all-star team to host the final send-off of the outdoor stage. The team was, together with succeeding indoor stage closing act Vinnie Who, charged with delivering one last [...]
Sunday evening the dj duo Ung Flugt treated a select audience with an exquisite kitchen party set. Pitched against festival headliners Caribou playing on the adjacent stage it seemed, at first look, to be a case of urimelige hold. The term urimelige hold, meaning unreasonable teams, is a Danish school yard term. It comes from [...]
Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Funky soul on a lazy, hung-over late Sunday afternoon – does it get any better? On the third day of trailerpartying the wear and tear of the two days gone by was beginning to show. Trailerpark was at this point not yet filled, and the crowd mixture of three day bangers looking to [...]
ML: You have a background in indierockbands such as Decorate Decorate and Death By Kite and also as a producer for different bands in a whole different genre than your current solo project. Can you tell the readers a little about your journey from the indierock to the minimalistic electronica?
SVAR: I was on my way [...]
Flickr is ready for you all to take the journey back to ArtRebels´ amazing Trailerpark Festival in juli/august. Our wonderful photographers managed to catch the atmosphere of the area, as it was transfered into a wonderland of art, music and loving people. See it on Flicr here

There were no surprises when Peter Visti Sunday again delivered one of his notorious sets. Peter has been playing for about two decades, and with a row of cool releases behind him he never seems to disappoint. He pleasantly mixed deep and tech house with a touch of disco, respectably creating a perfect warm-up set [...]
You may have seen Mikkas & Lars B aka. Djuma Soundsystem playing fast tech house in for young club kids in venues like Rust, if your lucky enough that is, cause the two guys are primarily out of town playing clubs across the world. Their productions spread from deep to progressive house, so depending on [...]
The german house band Wareika consists of musical pioneers Florian Schirmacher, Henrik Raabe, Jakob Seidensticker. After releasing two great albums within the last year, one on danish label Tartelet and one on the prominent Perlon expectations were high at TrailerPark Sunday evening.
Charmingly dressed in uniform Mr. Schirmacher stood between his two conspirators adding his vocals to [...]
Soeren Bodner aka, Monkey Maffia was until new year 2010 one half of the notorious vodka consuming dj duo Wighnomy Brothers which for 17 years supplied the dancers of the world with their unique paramount sound. Today Soeren stands alone, and the question is if he can deliver same greatness as they supposedly did together.
And [...]
Das Krause Duo had a rough start at their dj set Saturday night. Technical difficulties resulted in a extended break before they could start, and by the time the sound engineer had prepared everything for them, the large hall that 30 min earlier had been full was now empty.
Despite the ordeal Das Krause Duo held [...]
With sun-drenched summer anthems Odessa and Sun, I was expecting a more subdued performance from hotly anticipated Canadian outfit Caribou. Luckily Caribou decided to have nothing of it, launching straight into one of the most noisy, jangly and messy sets I´ve witnessed at Trailerpark through the years. Scattered melodies vied for space next to the juggernaut of [...]
Toro Y Moi is arguably one of the biggest names booked for Trailerpark this year, with South Carolina frontman Chaz Bundick having made huge waves all over the blogosphere. Hailed as everything from the chieftain of Chillwave to the emperor of lofi electronica, Toro Y Moi´s music however, is hard to pin down as it ambles gently [...]
Third day of Trailerpark! This post is a tough one for us to write. Trailerpark is almost over and tomorrow we have to return to the real world. It has been a fantastic three days and we are overwhelmed with expressions and new friendships. Don’t make it stop! Right now Caribou is playing and the [...]
Meet the Danish blogger couple Sidsel and Lasse. They make up the dynamic duo that has been covering the street style part of Trailerpark Festival 2010. I had the chance to meet up with them on the last day of the festival and chat about their fashion experiences during the weekend.
This year’s Trailerpark was a [...]
In a constant turn between the utter most melodic notes and pure hardpumping bass, at this year´s Trailerpark Festival, Eim Ick settled as one of Denmarks most emerging interesting electronical talents.
Eim Ick turned the evening into night, kicking people of from the wooden plateaus in the courtyard, who were catching the last rays of the [...]
This years TrailerPark is coming to its end, and it seems like a great big tribute should go out to all of the awesome artists who helped to set the scene, for the intense experience these past days have been. So me and my young photographer Nicolai, went out to get a visual documentation of [...]
The last day of Trailerpark Festival ended on a high note – more specifically the note of Trentemøller and Djuna Bjarnes followed by Vinnie Who, who closed the Festival. Check out some of the cool people attending the sunday party!
In danger of mixing genres I have to say: This is some funky shit! Sleep Party People wrapped the indoor scene and the room around it in highly pitched falsetto vocals, took the audience by the hand and led them on an adventurous trip through the soundscape of another world.
Half accustic, half electronic, half rabbits, [...]
Torben Denver and his band is from south of Germany a town called ’Kuchen’ – which means cake – and I got to wonder, if the band would deliver a concert just as sweet as the name of their hometown. They did. Their first concert ever.
The laidback folk was well represented, and the quintet’s song-material [...]
Mikkel has a background in indie (Lily Electric, Death By Kite, Decorate Decorate) before casting his considerable talent towards electronic music. Something that immediately shows as he launched into a set that ranged from straight up four-to-the-floor tech-house to huge melodic soundscapes, often touching upon the kind of melancholy that I would usually connect with the darker [...]
To be quite honest I didn’t know much about the band I was about to listen to saturday around 18.30. But the name Chimes and Bells intriqued me and I was curious to hear what kind of music that name would produce.
The setting is very casual and many people have gathered around the stage to [...]
Saturday is still lingering in my body and even though I thought my a bit overwhelming alcohol consumes the past two days would keep me from the skate park today, here I am with the days first beer in my hand. But after all the hangovers are often a sign of a great night with [...]
And now for the really good stuff, the pictures have been taken by photographer Jason Idris-Alami thank you for helping me capturing the Trailerpark-rebels and hipsters!

It’s Sunday afternoon at Trailerpark, which means that the only people who have much energy left are the ones who got tucked into bed by 8:30 last night. While the adults laze about, enjoying a relaxing afternoon and saving themselves for one last pull when dusk falls, the children are providing the energy. And what better place [...]
One of the headlining acts, the highly acknowledged DJ Hell, took over the dancefloor on the Hummel stage around 2 o’clock. Throughout the last two decades he has been pioneering dancefloors and earning respect as not only a highly profiled dj but also as being a producer and being the man behind International DeeJay Gigolo [...]
Nico Plagemann and Christian Hilscher – the two guys in Kollektiv Turmstrasse – are actually hard to define musicwise except being mainly influenced by minimal techno. They seem to move forward not by setting up rules for a setlist but simply by picking out what seems to work best in their aims of bringing people [...]
I am not even going to pretend that I can remember half of 2000F and JG´s epic EPIC set yesterday. What did stick in my alcohol-addled mind was the sheer face-melting awesomeness of those bad-ass wobbly bass lines with JG´s grimy toasting blaring over them, bigging up a Trailerpark crowd that, arms in the air, [...]
